Let me get straight to the point folks – vitamins for pet health are very, very important. Your pet needs essential vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients to stay healthy. If it does not get all these nutrients from its food, then it must get it in the form of supplements. If not, it will eventually become weak and vulnerable to all sorts of diseases.

A lot of pet owners are apparently under the misconception that their pets are healthy despite eating a poor diet and leading what could be called an unhygienic, sedentary lifestyle. Turns out, it is not the case. A significant number of pets in the country suffer from malnutrition because of a poor diet.

Pet owners, in most cases, do not know what is good and what is bad for their pet’s health. So, they continue feeding unhealthy food (read commercial pet food) which makes their pet weaker and vulnerable to a lot of diseases. This is why vitamins for pet immunity are so important for domesticated pet animals.

There are a number of essential vitamins that can enhance your pet’s immune system. They include vitamin A, B, C, D, E, and K. Vitamins A, B, and C in particular are very important for your pet because they can strengthen its immune system, improve its antibody response, and lower the risks of various diseases.

Apart from these vitamins for pet health, you can give your pet herbal supplements which can boost its immune system considerably. You can give supplements that contain herbs like Indian ginseng, mistletoe, milk thistle, and cat’s claw to improve your pet’s health naturally.

Before you start giving multivitamin tablets or herbal supplements, you should always remember to consult your vet first. These vitamins and herbs, though very safe and effective, might not be good for your pet’s health if it has any existing medical problem. So, always make sure you consult your vet and get his opinion before you give these vitamins for pet immunity or any other supplement for that matter.

Simple changes in your pet’s lifestyle can make a huge difference to its health in the long run. You should avoid commercial pet food and give your pet plenty of raw, unprocessed food with lots of vegetables and meat. Avoid contaminated tap water and give your pet filtered water to drink. Play with it every day and make sure it stays happy and unstressed.

These are simple things you can do, apart from giving vitamins for pet immunity, to make keep your pet both healthy and happy.
