Many of us have a cellulite problem and we would all like to find a solution to reducing the amount of dimpled, fatty deposits below the surface of the skin. The most common problem areas are the thighs, abdomen, arms and buttocks. Cellulite is a more common problem in women but can, to a lesser extent be a problem for men too.
There have been numerous lotions, pills, potions, creams and diets over the years that are supposedly a cure for cellulite, but very few have any degree of success. The only successful way to reduce cellulite is dispose of the underlying fatty deposits beneath our skin.
Rather than spend our money on all the pills and potions that promise so much, why not try the less expensive option? There are various ways of helping to reduce cellulite, and many agree that the more natural route is both inexpensive and has a good success rate.
- Exercise
Exercise is an important ingredient in the fight against cellulite. The more intense our workout or aerobic routine is, the more our heart rate increases and the more fat will be burned. This results in less fat being stored, some of which will be in the form of cellulite. We should not over look the fact that many of us have more than fat stored just below the skin surface, we often have fat stored much deeper, and any improvement will not be immediate noticeable as the deeper fat stored needs primarily to be disposed of.
- Muscle Building
Weight training can be an ideal tool in the disposal of cellulite. By increasing lean muscles mass, we can increase our bodies ability to burn off excess fatty deposits. By choosing weight training, we can tone and target our problem areas much more effectively and with lean, toned muscles the appearance of cellulite is diminished and much less noticeable.
- Good Skin Care.
By focusing on taking good care of our skin, we can also help reduce, or disguise the appearance of cellulite, although it will not actually get rid of it. If we can employ a regular routine of exfoliation, we can achieve a much smoother, toned looking skin surface. Daily moisturising not only boosts the elasticity of our skin but the actually massaging of the moisturiser helps firm, smooth and tone, improving circulation, and leaving us with the effect of less visible cellulite.
- Keep Well Hydrated.
All diet plans stipulate the importance of drinking plenty of water, and the reduction of cellulite can also be aided by keeping our body well hydrated. Our body is able to burn up fat much more efficiently when we maintain a good level of hydration. Water also helps cleanse and detoxify our whole system, giving our skin a healthy refreshing look, and helping keeping our muscles and digestive system functioning healthily. By factoring all these things together we can be sure we are helping in the reduction of cellulite.
By focusing our attentions on a healthy diet and exercise programme, all we really need is commitment, common sense and determination. Just think of all the money we could save by not investing in expensive cellulite remedies that do not work.
